Bumblebee Jasper is a rare and beautiful motivational stone carrying the yellow ray of vitality and optimism. Very supportive during times of stress or depression. It can help us to see new possibilities and feel confident to express our adventurous spirit. It transforms self-limiting beliefs and boosts creativity. By encouraging us to look to the future and inspiring us to take the initiative the energy of this stone helps us gracefully accept change. A great support if used during times of new beginnings to stimulate us to envision and choose our best path to success.
History and Uses
Named for its swirly striped yellow and black patterns Bumblebee Jasper is also known as Eclipse Stone or Fumerole/Fumerolic Jasper. It can contain colours ranging from bright yellow to orange, brown and white. It is difficult and dangerous to obtain, as it is mined from the active volcano Mount Papandayan in West Java, Indonesia.
Traditionally used as an energising crystal its healing energy can strengthen the nervous system and help speed recovery from illness or injury. By increasing mental clarity and boosting personal power it can be used to help us organise our lives, trust our instincts and make the best decisions for ourselves. It eases the anxiety of those who worry about other’s opinion of them.
Please note all of our Bumblebee Jasper pieces are sealed to protect from the toxic arsenic and sulphur contained in the raw stone.
Geological Description
Bumblebee Jasper is not actually a Jasper as it doesn’t contain quartz and is formed from sedimentary rocks. A member of the Agate family it contains calcite and minerals, including sulphur, hematite, ilmenite, anhydrite, as well as ash from the live volcano it originates from. It is found in West Java in Indonesia.
