Mookaite Tumbled Stones
Mookaite connects us with the ancient wisdom of the earth, reminds us of the eternal spirit and helps us to tune in to natural cycles. If you want to release old patterns and internal beliefs which no longer serve you, well Mookaite is the stone for you.
Tumbled stones are a great way to carry the energy of the crystals with you in your daily life, put them in your pocket, purse or wear them in a pouch. Sleep with them under your pillow, make a grid in your home or office, use them in a crystal healing body layout or soak with them in a bath.

Mookaite Crystal Healing Properties:
Mookaite connects us to ancient knowledge and genetic memory. It is a powerful reminder of the ageless spirit, and can help one to maintain a ‘young at heart’ attitude and a vibrant physical vessel. Mookaite can help us to perceive and understand the emotional and behavioural legacy our ancestry has passed down and it supports us to release and move beyond those patterns. For those who feel alone it can help us to feel a deep connection to place.
Mookaite History and Uses:
Mookaite is from the Jasper family and is found only in Western Australia, it gets its name from the Mooka Creek where it is found, Mooka being the local aboriginal word for running waters. With its great array of earthy red, ochre, purple, burgundy and yellow colours, Mookaite is a perfect picture of the Australian Outback. It was formed approximately 125 million years ago from the fossilization of microscopic sea creatures called radiolaria.
Mookaite Geological Description:
Mookaite is a form of Jasper, a silicon dioxide mineral composed of sub-microscopic Quartz grains with a hardness of 6.5 to 7. In Jasper the Quartz microcrystals are laid out in sugar like grains rather than fibrous layers as found in Chalcedony. Jasper deposits are found in India, Russia, Brazil, France, Germany, Australia, and the USA. Mookaite Jasper was discovered on the Mooka Station in remote Western Australia, which is part of the Windalia Radiolarite formation that covers much of the Carnarvon Basin.
